Introduction

C162 series 19-inch multi-media converter chassis is designed to accommodate 16 slide-in modules of various type of media converter at a central location for multiple segments cross connection.
Users can transparently link backbone equipments such as switches, routers to LAN workgroup segments.

Because each channel operates independently, new modules may be added as required. This flexibility allows the unit to grow with the network. C162/C162N features an internal power supply, with an optional RPS (Redundant Power Supply) to provide redundancy.

C162/C162N also provide management function to high end applications. Installation is easy, simply slide module into the chassis and the media is connected. All of the coverter modules are hot swappable thus eliminating costly network downtime.

C162 series converter rack fits cleanly into any network environment. With a slim low profile chassis and a mix of 10Mbps , 100Mbps and Gigabit media converter cards, the C162 series becomes the perfect solution for connecting today's evolving networks.
